This paper is based on the middle-aged men who is in shenmu county, which is in shaanxi province sunjiacha town XXX village as investigation object. Aiming at exploring the middle-aged alcoholic drinking status and the effects on the family, Thus undering the guidance of theory of structural family therapy, to help solve the problem of drinking alcohol family effectively. Based on the theoretical analysis of the middle-aged alcoholic families, and find out the typical drinking family by through the questionnaire and interview method, then take this as a case to carry on the diagnosis to intervene. Take Middle-aged alcoholic family in shenmu county XXX village as an example, through prior to the diagnosis of director and his family, the author sums up the egotism is facing four major problems, first, the relationship tension, family violence, alcoholism, economic pressure, Indifference relationship with children. and provide case service to help the director solve the four problems. In involved in the four stages of service, based on the structural family therapy model as the main treatment method, and combined with a person in the scenario theory to evaluate and adjust the family structure of the director, and the members of the family interaction patterns. Through these to made the director have a reasonable understanding of drinking behavior, then alleviate alcoholism caused by a series of family problems effectively.Through the survey of the village, the study found that most of the middle age group have some problems with alcohol, and only a few people choose to give up drinking because of body reason. And most of them can drink a little. Where the family abuse alcohol where the family may have the violence. the village residents generally recognise their unreasonable drinking behavior, but few of them can take practical action. at the same time, through the Intervention of the case study, part of the drinking behavior of drinking family has seriously affected the family harmony and stability, alcoholics are not born like drinking, but due to certain reasons to anesthesia by using alcohol. In the process of intervention, the author found that Structural family therapy has some limitations, and can cooperate with other treatments to achieve better effect, This study found that problem which is the drinking control of the middle-aged group has become urgent things now, especially social workers need turn attention to middle age group, and summed up the effective methods to help them stay away from alcohol.
