Since 2005, China have started high school academic test in many provinces and cities, which is established as a large-scale education examination system with the process of the new reform of high school curriculum. Shanghai’s Education Department decided to establish Shanghai ordinary high school academic test system. In 2009, the Education Department published the rules of Shanghai ordinary high school academic test, and wanted to further explore the college entrance examination system reform on the basis of Shanghai ordinary high school academic test system in 2013. Academic test associates the policy guidance of high school curriculum and teaching reform, involves students’ all-round academic development in the stage of high school, concerns the effective implementation of new college entrance examination scheme, and also achieves more and more attention from teachers, students, parents and other social people from all walks of life’s.This paper is going to analyze four years’ biology test, from 2011 to 2014 Shanghai ordinary high school academic test, using the mathematical statistics research methods through two levels: distribution of knowledge and way of examination. The paper also concludes academic test’s characteristics and development trends in these two aspects. The author find that:1. The test is closely related to the curriculum standard and give great focus to the basic knowledge; 2. The test has various examination methods, the training of basic skills is focused; 3. The test contains scientific experiments; the ability of science inquiry is important; 4. The test is closely related to life and concentrate to cultivate scientific literacy. Combining all the factors and under the impact of the new reform of college entrance examination system, the author tries to give the following suggestionsto Shanghai’s high school biology teachers:1. Carefully study curriculum standard and exam outline to get the requirements; 2. Change self-image, clear the position and function of academic test; 3. Strengthen biological teaching method, pay attention to the STS education and cultivate the inquiry study; 4. Apply multi-level teaching.
