A Study On The Cultivation Of Excellent Traditional Culture Of Contemporary College Students

The party’s Third Plenary Session of eighteen proposed to improve the education of Chinese traditional culture, the fundamental task of morality education. The Ministry of Education promulgated the "perfect Chinese traditional culture and education guidelines", stressed that the current strengthening of adolescent students’ education of fine traditional culture, to realize national rejuvenation China dream has great and farreaching significance. China is an ancient country with a long history and a splendid civilization. Traditional Chinese culture,both extensive and profound, is greatly fantastic and the humanistic spirit and moral ideals it implied has always impacted the future generations. The codes of conduct presented in traditional Chinese culture is an extremely rich thought treasury of many life wisdoms, playing a very active role in the promotion of personal cultivation. Nowadays, university students, as the builder and successor of the future development drive,should propagate and carry forward excellent traditional Chinese culture, strengthen their accomplishment of it and improve comprehensive quality which are their obligatory duties. Today, with the rapid development of economic globalization and market economy, the educational function of tradtional culture is weaking away which is a prominent phenomenon among current college students. Consequently, it is necessary to actively analyze the reasons of deficiency of university students’ accomplishment of traditonal culture, to fully play the educational function of traditional culture and cultivate college students’ accomplishment of traditional culture.Currently,the development and application of traditional Chinese culture for university students mainly invloves university political, ideological and moral cultivation, character education of the family and governmental development policies of traditional culture.Owing to the influences of market economy,internet culture and western culture and internal problems in the cultivation methods and so on, the actual application of college students’ excellent traditional culture accomplishment is not so sufficient and has an unfavorable effect. However, we can learn from the experience and practices of Korea,Japan,Singapore, the UK and the US and other countries, concerning the development and application of their own traditional culture.For cultivating the accomplishment of excellent traditional culture of college students,it is an important way to establish a cultivation mechanism of three for one,including the school, family and the society.Schools should enrich the content of traditional culture education, and create a strong traditional culture atmosphere, improve teachers’ traditional literacy; families should pay attention to the words and deeds of family members, family influence, educate their children;the government should promote the traditional festivals popularization, excellent traditional moral ideas and create a good social and moral environment, guide students feel fine traditional culture through the practice, so that they will identify and practice for their own actions and successfully shape their own morality.Excellent traditional culture has not only improved college students’ knowledge structure and personal accomplishment,built lofty charaters, but also to carrying forward and cultivating national spirit.So,studies on the contemporary value and methods of cultivation of excellent traditional culture accomplishment is of great importance.
