In this paper, based on the method of historical research, the writer will compare the five aspects such as the development of young college students volunteer service activities, background, main activities and the way, activity effect and characteristic in the two countries to provide theory for the problems and experience for reference in the process of development of our country college students volunteer service activities, in order to promote the orderly and healthy development of young college students volunteer service activities.
