Procrastination is common in the daily life, which refers to put off the beginning and ending of a task unreasonably. Academic procrastination is a kind of procrastination which exists in the field of learning, it is common in the student group. And it is a kind of complex multidimensional theory structure, which contains a variety of ingredients such as cognition, emotion and behavior. The study concluded that academic procrastination not only hinder finishing time, also can influence the experience of undesirable mood. Therefore, as an important field in the research of autonomous learning in recent years, for learning academic procrastination is especially important.Most of domestic research on learning academic procrastination based on the review of foreign studies, and the empirical research is less; In addition, the research group is most for undergraduate or graduate students, while less for middle school students, especially senior high school students. For Senior high school students, their personality development is relatively mature. Among them, the freshmen are not adapt to the high school life and the high three students have pressure of nervous learning, so the second grade students as the research object are more appropriate. This thesis mainly studies the second grade students, which using experimental method and questionnaire survey method to study the academic procrastination among senior high middle school. And it bases on personality traits, task difficulty and disciplinary status three factors.This study selected three parallel class of the second grade, which a total of 150 students in a city priority high school of Shandong province. To measure the questionnaire of "Five Personality Factors of Middle School Students" by Zou Hong(2003) and the "Aitken Procrastination Questionnaire"(for Middle School Students) by Liu Mingzhu and Lu Guizhi. Then, to give students three difficult task(easy, medium, difficult), and Let the students choose one to finish within the allotted time. To record due time and assess the quality. The results are as follows:(1) The academic procrastination of high school students differences in gender significantly, the level of boys obviously is higher than girls.(2) The personality traits of high school students affect the academic procrastination significantly, especially performance in cautious, emotionality and openness. The main effect is significantly.(3) The difficulty of learning tasks significantly influence on the academic procrastination of high school students. In the present time and finish quality, the more difficult the tasks are, the more higher tendency to delay.(4) Different disciplinary status significantly influence on the academic procrastination of high school students. Relative to the natural conditions and the reward conditions, punishment conditions influence on the academic procrastination more significant, and it can more reduce the dely.
