Research On Social Work Of University Graduates

Community, as a basic space of the urban life, is the basic unit of city society, is amicrocosm of the whole society. Community workers are playing a more and moreimportant role in the management and development of community. In recent years,a series of policies are made to strengthen community workers’ team in order tosolve the employment problem, as well as to attract college graduates to dograss-roots work at the community. But, there are still great difficulties for youngcollege students to work as social workers due to the complicated situation ofcommunity, the diversity of community and the various demands of residents.Because of the different national conditions and the development of socialworkers between China and foreign countries, it is hard to draw on the foreignexperiences. This paper takes college student social workers as research objects,bases on the hierarchy of needs theory and the two-factor theory, usesquestionnaires to study the existing problems and give many suggestions on thedevelopment of college student social workers’ team.This paper is divided into five parts:First part: introduction of the hierarchy of needs theory and the two-factortheory. Tell the difference between traditional social workers and college studentsocial workers.Second part: study the data of the questionnaires and point out some existingproblems.Third part: analyze the existing problems of the development of college studentsocial workers at Xietu district.Fourth part: international advanced methods on managing social workers.Fifth part: give several suggestions on the management of college student socialworkers according to the existing problems.This paper mainly studies the developing dilemmas of college student socialworkers in order to help them integrate into the community work as soon as possibleand let them do a better service for community residents. This paper is a good guidance for community work and a good reference for the development of collegestudent social workers in other cities in China.
