Since the1980s, with the gradually in-depth of China’s reform and opening upand the rapid development of economic globalization, our society has presented thetrend of diversification, which is further enhanced. In the process of this socialtransformation, because of the number of teachers in colleges and universities,especially the young teachers is larger, they have the more influence on the studentsand even more prominent role in teaching and educating, as well as thedevelopment of colleges and universities. However, due to the domestic and foreignenvironment, school environment and their own factors as well, a small part of theyoung teachers show a sense of abnormal mentality, such as loss, anxiety,impetuous, complaints, imbalance and so on. Meanwhile, their ideal belief of thesocialist has shaken; their consciousness of education responsibility is not strong;their service consciousness of treating the student is weakening; their sense ofconcentration on teaching is weakening. All of the above factors formed a big gapbetween them and the standards of the contemporary college teachers. Therefore,from a long-term consideration of education, in order to better cultivate qualifiedcollege students, how to lay solid foundation of college teachers, solve theproblems in the field of young teachers and improve their qualities has become animportant issue to be solved in colleges and universities ideological and politicaleducation.Based on the guidance of Chinese socialism theoretical system, from the startingpoint and end result of strengthening and improving ideological and politicaleducation of young teachers in colleges and universities, using a combination of thetheory of ideological and political education as well as philosophy, sociology,pedagogy, psychology and management science and other disciplines of relatedknowledge, this researches on the young college teachers’ ideological and politicalquality and their work, including: I. The overall characteristics of young teachers incolleges and universities and the existing problems. II. Analysis on the reasons for the problems of ideological and political education of young teachers in collegesand universities. III. Making operational countermeasures on solving practicalproblems from the aspects of the administrative department of education and thesociety, management work of the colleges and the universities and the teachersthemselves.
