In adherence to the intensive, intelligent, green, low carbon new urbanization path, under the guiding ideology of the rapid advance of urbanization, new made great breakthrough in the coordinated development of urban and rural areas as a whole. In Liangshan prefecture of urbanization greatly enhance at the same time, Liangshan prefecture ethnic traditional culture in the process of urbanization also experience the inevitable challenge, of course, as an important component of the Liangshan prefecture of Yi nationality traditional sports cannot avoid such challenges. Yi nationality traditional sports is Liangshan prefecture in local special geographical environment, production factors such as lifestyle, social system, a comprehensive gradually formed under the action of its heritage and development is in a relatively closed, under the traditional environment. In order to keep their own characteristics in Yi nationality traditional sports in the urbanization and core value, the health sustainable development is a task that cannot be ignored, so the present situation of Yi nationality traditional sports in urbanization research is imperative. In this paper, combining the current situation of urbanization under the background of Yi nationality traditional sports, analyzed the influence of the urbanization construction of Yi nationality traditional sports.Put forward Yi nationality traditional sports as an important part of Yi people’s traditional culture, is the harmonious development of modern and traditional in the construction of the urbanization of Liangshan prefecture, national traditional sports itself with strong national features and profound culture is to realize the characteristic pillar of Liangshan prefecture. Urbanization makes national mass sports more standardization and industrialization which provides a more efficient method and the broader platform for the propaganda of the Yi people’s traditional sports and improves the adaptability of the Yi people’s traditional sports in the modern society. At the same time, under the background of urbanization main factors hindering the development of the Yi nationality traditional sports has the following six aspects. One is that the urbanization construction cuts down Yi nationality traditional sports culture heritage. Secondly, urbanization makes the Yi nationality traditional sports inheritance people crack interval. Thirdly, the urbanization construction makes the external environment to the survival of Yi nationality traditional sports gradually disappear.
