Research On The Current Situation Of Sports Majors In Private Colleges And Universities In Sichuan Province

In recent years,private colleges and universities in Sichuan Province have been private continue to offer sports majors due to development of driven by the market demand.This article was by using research methods such as literature data,field research,interview,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and logical analysis method to investigate and analyzes the present situation of sports majors in private universities in Sichuan province.Find out the problems existing in the development process,and put forward targeted suggestions to promote the further development of the profession.This article investigates five majors which social sports guidance and management,leisure sports,social sports,sports operations and management,and fitness guidance and management,that set up by eight colleges and university in Sichuan Province,which are Chengdu Vocational College of Art,Yinxing Hospitality Management College of CUIT,Sichuan Technology and Business University,Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University,Sichuan Institute of Industrial Science and technology,Sichuan Yangtze River Career Technical College,University for Science Technology,Sichuan and Sichuan Top IT vocational institution.The survey results show that:1.There are more private colleges and universities offering sports majors with rich professional contents.At present,there are 17 private colleges and universities offering sports majors in Sichuan province.Opening direction including social sports guidance and management,recreational sports two undergraduate programs,social sports,leisure,sports,fitness guidance and management,the performing arts,sports,operation and management,golf operation and management,national traditional sports,e-sports and management,such as health care and rehabilitation 10 college professional,significantly more than the undergraduate college professional.2.Private colleges and universities in Sichuan province mainly focus on cultivating application-oriented or technology-oriented professional sports talents,so as to keep up with social development,run schools guided by market demand,and cultivate practical talents with market demand.However,the formulation and expression of training objectives are relatively arbitrary,and there are some irregularities and unclear phenomena,which need to be further improved.3.Able to respond quickly to market changes in the course setting up,offering popular sports items and course contents.However,the professional technical practice course is obviously more important than the theoretical course,and the professional course is not perfect,so it still needs to be strengthened.4.The number of young teachers accounts for the majority,and they can adapt to the rapid changes in the market and the professional construction of the school.However,the structure of the teaching staff is unreasonable,and the number of teachers with senior titles and rich teaching experience is small,and the proportion of lecturers and teaching assistants is huge.5.There are plenty of students,but the overall quality is poor.The scores of the candidates are lower than those of public colleges and universities,and their learning attitude is poor after entering the school.On the basis of research and investigation,this article proposes the following suggestions for the above mentioned problems that exist in the sports majors in private colleges and universities in Sichuan Province:1.Take social market demand as the starting point of professional talent training.Private colleges and universities in Sichuan province should make full use of their flexibility in running schools and train professional talents in line with market demand.2.Further improve the training objectives and professional course system.Training objectives affect the establishment of professional courses,and professional courses are the way to achieve the training objectives.3.Improve the ranks of teachers.Private colleges and universities in Sichuan province should raise the salary of teachers and reduce the outflow of teachers.We will increase the investment in post-service education for teachers and enhance their teaching and professional abilities.4.Adhere to the cultivation mode of school-enterprise cooperation.Cooperate with social enterprises to train professional sports talents;It can not only improve students' vocational ability,but also increase the employment rate and attract high-quality students to fill in.5.Refine the specialty direction and build its own specialty characteristics.While following the market,it rejects "homogenization" and actively combines with its own conditions to establish unique professional characteristics.
