Understanding is the way of human existence, is a basic way of linking education and individual spirit, understanding and teaching have inherent connection. Understanding teaching as a new teaching methods advocated by the new curriculum, in recent years has been widespread concern. Teaching for understanding should lead to mutual understanding between teachers and students, the creation of emotional resonance, the development of personality and the expression of the final realization of the meaning of life. The teaching goal of high school history teaching courses such as the cultivation of students’ humanistic spirit, the spirit of innovation has an important role in promoting the implementation. In view of the lack in the research and understanding of the current high school history teaching, this paper deeply discusses the basic understanding of teaching theory, on the implementation of teaching for understanding applied in history teaching in senior middle school was studied in two aspects of theory and practice.The ideological origins and development of the first chapter of the thesis teaching for understanding first traces rely on "understanding the spirit". Then pointed out that the understanding of the significance and characteristics of teaching. Finally, through the analysis of the new formulation of the "ordinary high school history curriculum standard" and the history college entrance examination paper, emphasizes the need to understand the necessity of the combination of teaching and the high school history teaching.The second chapter will understand the use of the concept of teaching in high school history teaching practice. Examines the senior high school history teaching problems from the perspective of teaching for understanding. This chapter is mainly from "the history classroom teaching goal setting", "history teaching content to explain", "history of classroom questioning the inquiring teaching process" to discuss from three aspects of problems. That breaking "many aspects of spirit of understanding" in the process of teaching.The third chapter is the basis of pointed out in chapter second of the high school history teaching for understanding of existing problems and put forward specific implementation strategies. These strategies to teaching and carry out the spirit of good understanding, practical application in high school history teaching, provide a good reference for the high school history teaching.The conclusion part summarizes the system to do. The high school history and understanding of a combination of teaching, teaching from the teaching objectives, teaching content, to explore three aspects to find the contrary to understand the concept of teaching. And understand the idea of teaching for the discipline of history problems to find solutions. In addition, the paper quoted part of high school history teacher teaching as a case study, a analysis is not comprehensive enough, not deep enough. These are need to be improved.
