To understand students’ learning situation before and after class is important for mathematics teachers in normal school and is an essential part of the daily teaching. As an auxiliary teaching means, it plays an important role in teacher preparation and classroom teaching. But the current work about the understanding in this area is not very satisfactory and it is the same with the research on learning situation before and after class in teaching practice. Therefore, the author planned to make a research on the current situation of understanding students’learning situation before and after class.In this thesis, the author made a survey of 33 teachers in normal schools of Shandong province by using questionnaires and interviews. Firstly, the author investigates the current situation of the understanding on students’learning situation before and after class and finds that teachers lack the understanding. Then, she analyzes the causes of the lack. At last, she puts forward some solving strategies in view of the above causes. The thesis is divided into 5 parts. The thesis firstly reviews the domestic and foreign scholars’ relative study and research and analyzes the significance and methods of the study. In part two, the author interprets and defines some relevant basic concepts and methods of the understanding. In part three, the author investigates the current situation of the understanding and points at the limits of the understanding. In part four, the author investigates and analyzes the causes of lack of the understanding. At last, the author puts forward some advices and gives some practical cases.By investigating, the author comes to know the reasons why teachers lack the understanding are that the understanding of the content is not comprehensive and teachers pay less attention to the top students and understand the situation in adequate ways or in short time. The other reasons are as following:firstly, the lack of teaching theoretical knowledge of education makes the teacher vague in the understanding of the content and appropriate in methods. Secondly, teachers don’t pay enough attention to the understanding. Thirdly, teachers have the wrong ideas of the understanding. At last, schools’ rules and regulations have a great influence on teachers’teaching behaviors.In view of the above reasons, the authors put forward some corresponding solving measures: ①Teachers should understand students’ learning situation before and after class in the aspects of students’ master of the knowledge of mathematics, the learning strategies used by students and students’ attitude to learning English.②Teachers should pay attention to students of all levels when they research the understanding. ③Teachers should adopt some more detailed and effective methods.④eachers should make more reflection on students’learning situation.⑤ teachers need to change some inappropriate views, ﹖eachers should be strict with themselves when they do the research. They should pay ideological emphasis on the understanding and take active actions to do the research. ⑦The school should make some adjustments to create an effective environment for teachers to research the understanding.
