Learn to thinking is education request of a new era, being a thinking people is the demand for talents in new time. So it’s important to people’s thinking development. Primary school education is basic education, mathematics is also one of the major disciplines that cultivate people thinking. So, to research how to improve the students’ thinking ability in mathematics teaching is very valuable. Mind mapping is an effective tool for the development of students’ thought. Combined with the elementary student’s age characteristic and the elementary school mathematics teaching material content arrangement characteristics of spiral, introducing a mind map elementary school mathematics classroom, using mind mapping to improve the students’ ability of mathematics, mathematics review here ability improve include mathematical thinking ability, comb self knowledge, the ability of constructing knowledge framework, and the improvement of unit test results. Mind mapping and the combination of the elementary school mathematics classroom, students will review the class of visualization to review the process of thought, for teachers’ guidance, student exchanges, can be said to be the effective ways to improve the overall quality of elementary mathematics.This study is divided into the study of the theory of the mind map and use mind map for recitation teaching practice research two parts. The first part contains the mind mapping research status at home and abroad and the characteristics and content of mind mapping, theoretical basis and the production process; The second part mainly use mind mapping experiment preparation, experiment process of mathematics teaching, the experimental results analysis, confirmed the mind map can be used to improve the ability of elementary mathematics, and related implementation strategies are put forward. The result of the research could be helpful for the cultivation of comprehensive ability.
