Modern science and technology are developing rapidly in today’s society, and the modern teaching methods are also very widely used in geography teaching of senior high school. Obviously, the advantages of modern teaching methods are many, for example, it is vivid and convenient. Many geography teachers tend to use the modern teaching methods in the classroom more and more extensively. However, in the geography teaching in the current, as the geography teachers, we must think about these problems such as whether the advantages of traditional teaching methods have largely gone, whether to abandon the traditional teaching methods,what is the actual needs of the teaching methods for the students, how to make the traditional and modern teaching methods together to be an integration which could serve the geography teaching in senior high school better and so on.This paper gives the analysis of geography teaching in high school from the application status of questionnaire, we could understand the actual needs of students in the application of teaching methods, and also discover that we could attract the attention of students effectively and improve the efficiency of the classroom if we make the traditional and modern teaching methods be an integration.Combining theory and practice, this paper gives four principles and three methods of the fusion of traditional and modern teaching methods which based on the theories of education and the investigation, it also designs the teaching methods of the integration of cases. This paper is to arouse the thinking of geography teachers in senior high school and gives them teaching references, and it will also help to cultivate the interest of students in geography and the ability of geographical thinking.
