| This case study explored the practical wisdom of kindergarten special-grade teacher Z, including its characteristics, forming conditions, promotion strategies.It found Z’s practical wisdom involved treating young children as learning subjects in education, being alert for educational situation, using teaching strategies flexibly, exploiting educational materials from children’s life in a creative way, coping with the unexpected in education tactfully, promoting young children comprehensive development.The conditions in which Z’s practical wisdom produced were as follows:Good personality is the origin of her practical wisdom; Subject knowledge and teaching experiences were the important guarantee for her practical wisdom; Preparing lessons in parallel collectively provided external support for her practical wisdom.So there are several ways to develop kindergarten teachers’practical wisdom: raising teaching emotion to pursue practical wisdom; gaining experiences in educational practices to generate practical wisdom; learning more professionally to enrich practical wisdom; reflecting effectively to upgrade practical wisdom; building learning community of teachers to activate practical wisdom. |
