In China always attaches importance to classical reading, from Qin and Han dynasties to the end of Qing dynasty, thoroughly read and deeply think,and while pondering its meaning have been the basic ways of teaching and learning in language education. The Chinese teaching must undertake the important task which will continue the splendid national culture, help the students construct good character and enhance their Chinese quality, so the teaching must revert to the classic books which store up the quintessence of human thoughts and the cream of national culture. Classic education is both the reversion of the essence of Chinese teaching and the transcendency to the traditional Chinese teaching in primary school Chinese teaching.In this paper, according to the activities of the actual situation of reading classic articles in the researchers school,and combined with the domestic present situation of the study on classic reading,aimed at the discussion and summary of the classic reading content design, implementation strategy, evaluation and so on.This essay consists four chapters. The introduction describes the background of the research projects, research status, significance and research methods. The opening Chapter gives a general overview of classical reading and its teaching. It makes expositions of concept definition, history evolution, theoretical basis and implementation values.The Curriculum development of classical reading and teaching in the primary school S is elaborated in Chapter 2. It includes four aspects:the teaching origin of classical Chinese reading; Its teaching goals and course hours’ setting; development of its teaching content; its related supporting resources developed and created.The disscution about the organization and implementation of the teaching which is on classical chinese reading in the primary school S,is laid in the chapter 3. It expounds the implementation principle and security, strategies,evaluation system and so on in details.Chapter 4 makes reflection on the teaching practice of classical Chinese reading in the primary school S. Based on study of the present teaching situation,it summarizes the achievement and characteristics. At the same time,it also refines and analyses the problems in implementation, then looks into the development prospects of classical reading in this school.
