As the country attaches more and more importance to traditional culture,the importance of Chinese classic reading teaching is increasing.There are three main problems in the actual ancient poetry reading teaching process in primary schools : oversight of the pragmatic value of ancient times,poetry teaching without plots,and extra-curricular poetry reading with heavy recitation.Therefore,the author takes the classic teaching practice advocated and practiced by Herbart as the theoretical basis and practical reference of the research.Herbart's classic teaching is the main way to practice its educational instruction.Educational instruction aims to achieve the highest moral goals by using Many-Sidedness of Interest as close goals.Therefore,he asked teachers to teach linguistics with a pedagogical mind,and thus chose the classic works of history and literature of ancient Greece and Rome,and determined the language teaching and plot teaching to carry out teaching and education.This paper chooses Odyssey as a model of ancient Greek teaching as a typical case to explain Herbart's classic teaching ideas and its practical path.The secondchapter mainly introduces the role of language teaching in Odyssey in promoting students' formation of Many-Sidedness of interest.The third chapter introduces Herbart's process of cultivating students' Many-Sidedness of Interest through analysis and comprehensive teaching.The fourth chapter is to clarify the appearance of Chinese classic teaching under the guidance of Herbart's classic teaching thoughts through The Book of Songs.In the concluding part,it explains the applicable scope of Herbart's classic teaching and some reflections on its transformation to reality.This study draws the following conclusions: First,educational instruction means that teaching must take morality as the highest goal.Herbart regards Many-Sidedness of Interest as the direct goal of classic teaching,which is to help children form aesthetic judgment and then transition to moral judgment.Second,the choice of classics must meet the needs of children's moral development,and is the text of the joint point of Many-Sidedness of Interest.Third,analysis and synthesis are important ways to help children gain a clear understanding and construct their own stable and harmonious ideological scope.At the same time,the differences based on interest-motivation are divided into language teaching andplot teaching.The former focuses more on the cultivation of cognitive interest,and the latter focuses more on the sympathetic interest.Fourth,Herbart's classic teaching ideas must not be fully applicable to all classic teaching,nor should they be copied mechanically.It should be combined with educational context and teaching content,in the selection of teaching content,the types of interests that are stimulated,analysis and comprehensive.Make necessary adjustments and changes in specific operations.
