In 2003, along with the reform of new curriculum, the high school obligatory Chinese textbooks by Jiangsu Education Press (JEP) come out as well as the promulgation of curriculum standard of Chinese course in the high school. The writing textbook from JEP breaks the original system with the sequence of writing ability points from People’s Education Press (PEP), arranging it by humanity topics, invoking a lot of controversy、The first chapter clarifies the new requirements and changes to writing in the reform of new curriculum through the analysis of requirements to the expression and communication in new curriculum standard. After analysis of educational psychological theories, the direction of further development of the writing textbook from JEP is basically formed.The second chapter looks back at some influential writing course modes in the past thirty years of writing reform and concludes three main modes:by the sequence of knowledge in writing, by the sequence of thinking training and by the sequence of life scenarios. These three modes have their own advantages. The one by the sequence of knowledge in writing has the longest history and most rigorous system, thus suitable as the framework for developing writing textbook by JEP. The one by the sequence of thinking training emphasizes the thinking process during writing, thus works well as the guidance of writing strategies during the development of textbook. Finally, the one by the sequence of life scenarios is close to the life experience of students and is suitable to make them more interested in writing by combining it with writing practice.The third chapter analyzes the four systems in the writing textbook by JEP, including objectives, knowledge, guidance and practice, summarizes the innovations and drawbacks, and clarifies the contents and goals of the development of writing textbooks.Based on the second and third chapters, the fourth chapter indicates four objectives for developing textbooks, which includes systematical objectives, successive knowledge system guidance system combining reading and writing and host-focusing practice system. Their significances and principles are further clarified in the development. The tentative ideas to develop them are also depicted.In the last chapter, the application of the writing textbook by JEP, the author first demonstrates the results in the fourth chapter in tables. Based on these results, as well as the practice in Nanjing Foreign Language School, the author makes a writing teaching guidance and design, using the example of the topic, rendering your feelings.
