With the 2011 compulsory education geography new curriculum standard was promulgated, the geography education curriculum in junior middle school philosophy towards "student oriented" changes, a student-centered, teacher is aided by the geography classroom teaching environment is forming. In order to cultivate the students’ independent inquiry, found the problem, the analysis question, solves the question ability, let the students really involved in teaching, as the teaching subject, teaching geography "activities" section of the increasingly significant role, and on the development of students’ participation ability and geographic literacy form plays a key role in.This paper describes the present situation of related domestic about student participation ability and geography "activity" column, and defines the relevant concepts, combs the main theoretical thesis involves. On the basis of the above, according to the geography in junior high school education at present, the development of students’ participation ability, "activity" column has a lot of problems for the students to participate in the guide, through the student questionnaire, teacher interview, the actual classroom teaching observation, from students to participate in the interest, participation attitude, participation, "activities" section of the participation type and influence factors involved in the cultivation of ability and other aspects of analysis, discussion of have the aid of "activity" teaching students to participate in the column on the capabilities of the various factors.
