The core spirits of the new curriculum appeals to us to cultivate all-round students with comprehensive skills. Based on that need, the history teaching methodology with politics infiltrated has come into being. Both of the two subjects belong to social studies, which have comparative inner connections as well as overlaps in setup, while they are different subjects, thus requiring something different from students.On top of that, there exists the phenomenon that students may have difficulty in understanding historical concept. As a result, the author has been trying to find a balance between the two subjects in order to teach history better and more effectively.The practicability lies in the demand of contemporary society, the qualities of history-integrity, universality and so on, and the goal of the new curriculum which aims to promote students’ all-round development. Besides, science nowadays tend to develop in the comprehensive way, requiring students to break down the barriers among different subjects.The research in this essay finds out the relevant contents from politics and takes these contents for example via case study. It is also a model of student-centered and is intended to increase students’ enthusiasm and efficiency. It may also help with teachers’ teaching.The research consists of five parts.Part One-introduce the overall design of the research. It illustrates the background of the research, its core concept, findings of previous research and methodology.Part Two-analyze the value and significance of this research.Part Three-analyze and induce parts of the political knowledge in curriculum that has tight connection with textbooks. Part Four:1. Sum up approaches to apply politics to history teaching through teaching practice.2. relate applications of social science in history teaching through case study3. use the analyses of College Entrance Exams to show the integration and application of social science, such as economics, politics, philosophy.4. attach importance to focusing on history coordinated with politics in integrated and practical courses.Part Five-reflect on the research. Come to the remaining problems in the research and possible suggestions to fraternities that might agree with the research.
