A Study On The Educational Types Of The Hui People In The Basic Education Stage

Hui nationality is short for Hui Hui nationality,which is the most widespread minority in China.Islam was introduced into China in the Tang Dynasty. In the constantly developing, Hui culture consists of Islamic culture, national culture and secular culture, and the educationof Hui also has all of them. Hui education has a variety of forms, such as:regular school education、Arabic schools、Islamic schools、mosque amateur education、female mosque education、 etc.This thesis is based on X Hui community,whichis the most representative Hui community in Lanzhou. The thesis introduces four types of Hui education in basic education stage, discusses problems and reasons of each type and gives considerations and suggestions of Hui education.Chapter one is general situation of X Hui community which is from documents and old memories. Chapter two introduces current situation of regular school education, reflects that the problems of it are low academic achievement, strained relations between teachers and parents, ethnic school lack feature. Chapter three introduces current situation of mosque education, reflects that the problems of it are less students, backward content of courses. Chapter four introduces current situation of Arabic schools, reflects that the problems of it are single content of courses、incomplete education system, non-ideal employment situation. Chapter five introduces current situation of aid school, reflects that the problems of it are tough environment, lack of teachers, different ranks of education quality, dropout again of migrant children. Chapter six is the reflection and suggestion of Hui education. Firstly, X Hui community has different education types. Public school is the main type, others are supplementary. It also has hierarchy education. Secondly, Hui has noticed the importance of education, the representatives are Female schools and school education can live harmony with Islamic culture. The advice of public schools is increasing financial investment, sharing education resource, paying attention to legal education, setting national curriculum, dealing with the relationship between school and parents correctly, paying attention to the education of migrant children. The advice of mosque education is combining mosque education with modern education, improvingimams recruit level. The advice of private Arabic schools is Regulating private Arab language school, improving education quality, integrating educational resources, joint running of schools. The advice of aid school is setting up education system, carrying out policy, centralizing management of aid schools.
