Under the background of aging population in our country, starting with thedevelopment of urban community geriatric education, targeting at meeting thedemand of the elderly community, improving the elderly living quality, based on theanalysis of the current situation for community geriatric education, this paper strivesto explore a mode which can meet the demand of urban community geriatriceducation in our country, makes effort to deal with an ageing population actively inChina. This paper also tries to provide theoretical support and practical guidance inbuilding community geriatric education with Chinese characteristics and provide areference basis to promote the sustainable development of the socialist society.Concentrating on the topic of building urban community geriatric education in ourcountry, this paper includes six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, generally expounding the origin andsignificance of topic selection, related research of urban community geriatriceducation and its developmental pattern in our country and introducing the basic ideas,methods and innovation of this paper.The second chapter elaborates the era demands and social trends from threeaspects, build target, build purpose and build manner of building urban communitygeriatric education in our country It introduces personality characteristics and showsthe inevitability and necessity of building urban community geriatric education in ourcountry, clears train of thought for community geriatric education.The third chapter elaborates essential elements of urban community geriatriceducation in our country. On the sight of the theory of constructing harmonioussociety, lifelong education theory, healthy aging theory and active aging theory, thischapter expounds ideological orientation of building urban community geriatriceducation in our country explicitly.The fourth chapter investigates the demand situation and shortages of communitygeriatric education in our country through questionnaire survey and interview.Together with Maslow-Need-hierarchy theory, analysing the project information anddata, this chapter proposes the demand of survival stage, psychological stages,compensate stages of community geriatric education, provides a realistic basis forfurther research of this paper.The fifth chapter elaborates model framework the developed pattern of urbancommunity geriatric education in our country. This chapter clears the guidingideology and overall objectives of building dynamic learning mode, expounds itsbasic connotation and designs its developed pattern from three aspects, systemsafeguard, long-term mechanism, cultural environment, and provides a feasible pathfor this paper act from theory to practice. The last conclusion part of this article carries on the profound reflection and for afollow-up expectation. It analyses some problems on the upper frame and theunderlying description in this paper and hopes follow-up research can solve theseproblems.
