Reading teaching is the key point in the Chinese teaching of junior middle school. So how to improve the quality of reading teaching has become the natural trend and also a serious problem that troubles Chinese teaching. Along with the Chinese teaching reform of the junior middle school, autonomous learning has been placed in a very important position by the reformers and explorers. Moreover, this learning method is clearly defined in “Chinese course standard of full-time compulsory education”, encouraging independent reading, the cultivation of the ability of independent reading seriously, and to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and lifelong development. Teaching emphasis on autonomous learning is to better implement the new spirit of Chinese reading teaching.However, in the teaching of Chinese reading in the present junior middle school, dependent learning is still in the teaching stage. Teachers are the disseminators of knowledge and students are the receivers. The traditional teaching modes like “ a book ”, “ teachers-only ” and “ one pot ” still exists, and the students do not have opportunities of independent thinking and independent learning. Such a reading teaching has become a bottleneck of restricting the reading teaching quality and hindered the development of the ability of students, so under the new curriculum reforms, the reading teaching theory and practice at home and abroad, and the practice platform in the Chinese reading teaching courses of the junior middle school, this thesis explores how to guide effective independent reading according to the actual situation of junior middle school students so as to construct a kind of teaching mode that develop the junior middle school students’ Chinese reading ability of autonomous learning.This thesis includes the following parts:The first part is to raise the problem. Through learning the definition of autonomic learning and research achievements in Chinese reading, we can understand the basic situation of the independent reading research, explore the significance of independent reading and clear the research purpose of this thesis.The second part is through the questionnaire survey to fully grasp the present situations of independent reading, the existing problems and analysis of the causes of problems;The third part is to solve the problems how to guide the junior middle school Chinese independent reading teaching, construct a kind of teaching mode that develop the junior middle school students’ Chinese reading ability of autonomous learning for the practice and research of Chinese reading, so as to improve junior middle school students’ autonomous reading ability.In a word, the Chinese reading teaching in junior middle school should fully respect the individual differences of students, and should also respect the students’ independent opinions.
