In order to improve the quality of teaching, our country has had the implementation of the new curriculum reforming. In the meantime, all kinds of model of hierarchical teaching, which are aimed to respect students’individual differences and to adhere to the thought of teaching different talents in various ways, have received a widespread concern in the countries all over the world. Therefore, the form of education concept, education system, education and the education content have changed profoundly. Hierarchical teaching mode is the existence of individualized teaching mode on the basis of the differences between students. As a result, it has been generally favored in the cause of education comrades.First of all, this article relevantly elaborates Hierarchical teaching mode, which explains the intention and the significance of the research according to practices of Hierarchical teaching mode at home and abroad. Then, in the second part, the contents are divided into the relevant theories of Hierarchical teaching mode, which mainly contains the implication of Hierarchical teaching mode, the basic framework and the theoretical basis. After that, it comes to the current situation of teaching in rural high schools. The author has done surveys to see the possibility of conducting this teaching mode. This is carried out based on questionnaires, resulting in the problems and difficulties in the process of Hierarchical teaching. At the end of the article, the author combines the education teaching experience, discuss high school geography teaching practice in theory research.The aim of hierarchical teaching mode is to break the shackles of the traditional teaching mode, based on the difference between individual student, according to the actual situation of different students working out the different teaching objectives, teaching content, using different teaching contents, methods during the process of teaching. So that all the students can get the mode of education according to their own conditions and characteristics, every student can get comprehensive and harmonious development and progress in their original basis.
