Wit in teaching is a necessity for becoming a successful teacher. Because the audiences are still in the development stage of their life, everything happens in the class room can easily become a learning opportunity for them. Therefore, the teachers who have wits that can better prepare them for not only passing down knowledge to students, but also in the process of teaching, to motivate them to be more passionate about learning. From a personal and emotional point of view, every education professional wants to have wits of their own that can help students in knowledge, thoughts, and sentiments development.This article uses narrative studies of choosing two teachers from the same elementary school through the way of live observations and in-depth interviews to get the further study of how the wits generate in class. It has following Suggestions from the perspective of teacher professional development for the wits happen and use:1. To avoid but rather take initiatives in students’ questions and concerns; to comprehend students’ needs and reflect at the end of the day; 2. To understand students’ways of thinking and respond them in multi-dimension; 3.To strengthen the classification of typical cases in the teaching, research and straightening.Based on the research of the teaching wits, this article hopes to inspire elementary math teachers take the initiative to improve their professional quality, promote the generation of wits.
