"Project" is not only the major innovation and the biggest highlight of Chinese Textbook for junior high school published by Jiangsu Education Press, but also the significant content of this teaching material. By means of studying the teaching material itself, this paper studies thoroughly on the meaningful content of the "designated project", the characteristics of text arrangement and the way in which students are learning, and the teaching value and its implication as well. The problems in real teaching context are discovered and the current situation of the designated subject teaching is seized on the basis of different kinds of survey, interview and observation in class and the following statistic analysis. From the point of development of the teaching resources and the optimization of the teaching content, aims, and the way of teaching as well as the teaching evaluation, optimization strategies and the further analysis and thinking integrated with the subject teaching cases are put forward.
