Foreign material is an important part in Chinese teaching, foreign material, provide fresh blood into the modern Chinese language teaching materials, to develop students’ horizons, plays an important role in cultivating students’ aesthetic ability and thinking. This article is mainly through to the person teaches the version high school language teaching material and comparison of Su teaches the version high school language textbook, to find out the advantages for the selection of foreign literary works of high school Chinese teaching material and the insufficiency, and as a senior high school Chinese classroom teaching foreign literature education, we can reference and suggestion, the further promotion and to improve the optimization of foreign literature teaching.This paper from the four aspects of selection, selection, selection of country’s number, text style of people education press and Jiangsu education overall structure of foreign material in the textbook analysis, analysis of the existing problems in the teaching of foreign material from the macroscopic angle, and put forward the corresponding improvement suggestions. Then the first two editions of foreign material in the system are compared and analyzed, its focus mainly on the selection of topics and language skills, in order to show the characteristics of foreign works essays should choose and focus on its culture and tool. The third chapter is mainly on the people’s education press and Jiangsu Education Edition of foreign material comparative analysis system, combined with the characteristics of foreign material, make foreign text annotation and illustration of the value to get the greatest degree of line of sight. The fourth chapter is from the exercise system of foreign material point of view, this analysis, suggestions. Finally, the analysis of the previous four chapters, points out that language teaching in the foreign material to reflect the correct value orientation, and through the teaching of foreign literature, provide guidance on students extracurricular reading.
