Taking the drama theme activity as background, with the children’s participation as the breakthrough point, this study uses qualitative research paradigm,bases on grounded theory research method,uses the observation and interview method and collects 41 activity cases.Then the researcher analyses the cases,divides the children’s participation into different types and deeply analyses the inner meanings of them.In this study, the researcher divides children’s participation in the drama theme activities from three angles. Firstly, depending on the degree of close between children and the drama theme activities, the participation of children can be divided into three categories:dissociated behavior, onlooker behavior, critical behavior and commit myself behavior. In the second place, from the view of role taking, according to the complexity of the role playing,children’s participation can be divided into three categories:pseudo playing, role playing and role involvement. According to the organizational form of the role playing, the participation of children also can be divided into three categories:class collective playing, team playing and individual playing. Thirdly, from the perspective of emotional expression, depending on the difference of the body of emotional expression, children’s participation can be divided into original emotional expression and alternative emotional expression. According to the difference of the object of emotional expression, children’s participation can be divided into expressing the character’s emotions and expressing the situation’s emotions. According to the different ways the children using to express emotion, children’s participation can be classified into experiential emotional expression and performance type of emotional expression.Combined with the research results above, the researcher deeply analyses the inner meanings of children’s participation types, trying to develop theories. From the view of role taking types,the results show that the development mechanism of children’s role taking complexity is endogenous and outgoing. There are three development clues:the relationship between self and character, the relationship between actor and audience and the changes of aesthetic psychological distance. The researcher try to analyse the inner meanings of children’s role taking in different types,including the form reason of pseudo playing,the condition of role playing and the qualities of children’s role playing.From the perspective of emotional participation types,the researcher deeply analyses children’s Laugh behavior and the relationship between experiential emotional expression and performance type of emotional expression.At the same time,the researcher alse analyses the characteristics of children’s participation in drama theme activities.The purpose of this study is to explore a brand new vision of theory and practice of kindergarten drama education,further enrich theoretical study of drama theme activities, provide a basis for teachers to grasp the state of the children’s participation and help teachers to establish scientific concept of participation. Then, it will improve the quality of drama activities and promote the development of children.
