The national curriculum reform advocates students active participation in inquiry-based learning, curriculum standards presents comprehensive requirements for scientific inquiry teaching. Textbook compilation should be based on the curriculum standards and curriculum reform, PEP chemistry textbooks of Compulsory Part meticulously create a series of scientific inquiry columns, throughout the idea of inquiry teaching all sections of the book. The most direct basis to carry out scientific inquiry is scientific inquiry columns in the actual teaching, in order to help teachers understand textbooks in-depth and better using textbooks within a limited period of time, under the curriculum reform this study closely connect curriculum standards to analyze textbooks columns from the dimensions of scientific inquiry by statistics, combing their elements and features, distinguish levels of inquiry, tap the value of teaching and the core of columns in textbooks. Give suggestions for implement inquiry teaching effectively on the status quo for the chemistry classroom teaching.This study is divided into six partsChapter one. Introduction, this part discusses the issues raised, research status, the purpose and significance,the contents and methods of study.Chapter two. The theoretical foundation, Author constructivist learning theory, humanistic learning theory, cognitive theory as the framework structure. The theory of scientific inquiry leads to its definition, elements, presented in the form of text, type of activity, the level of openness of specific criteria and evaluation tools.Chapter three, study design and process. Outlines the object of this study, the analysis unit, the analysis dimensions and research processes.Chapter four. The results and analysis, this is the core and the focus of this paper, author create seven dimensions:the number of columns, column elements of scientific inquiry proportional distribution, column content standards and curriculum match, the level of openness of scientific inquiry and curriculum goals and columns of matching, scientific inquiry column presented in the form of text, type of activity, function and use, to analyze scientific inquiry columns of PEP high school chemistry textbook compulsory by statistical and content analysis.Chapter five. The conclusion. This section summarizes the main conclusions of this study.Chapter six. Teaching implementing the recommendations. According to the conclusions of this study we present suggestions for writers and teachers.
