Since the new round of curriculum reform,fundamental education has developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results.The new curriculum pays much attention to cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability.The setting of "scientific inquiry " column in the new textbook highlights the idea of "strengthening the consciousness of scientific inquiry" in the new curriculum reform.This study aims to analyze the teaching material content and actual teaching situation of the "Scientific Inquiry" column in Senior high school chemistry textbook which was published by People's Education Press.With finding out some problems on the "Scientific Inquiry" column in the current senior high school chemistry teaching,the researcher put forward optimizating strategies that can provide advisory opinions for other chemistry teachers.This paper consists of six parts:The first part,Introduction.This part introduces the background,the present situation,research design and methods of this research.The second part is an overview.This part includes the definition of the study concept and the theoretical basis of the study.The third part,the analysis of textbook.This paper analyzes the overall distribution,concrete presentation,main contents of the "Scientific Inquiry" column in the textbook,and summarize the characteristics and educational value of the "Scientific Inquiry" column.The fourth part,the analysis of the teaching present situation.Through the questionnaires and interviews between teachers and students of two senior high schools in Guyuan City,the researcher study and analyze the students' interest,motivation,expectation,cognition,expectation,and actual learning situation of the "Scientific Inquiry" column,and the teachers' understanding of the "Scientific Inquiry" column,the adoption of the teaching methods,and the problems them met in teaching process.Thereby,the researcher do some statistical analysis on these results.The fifth part,the teaching strategy optimization.Based on the analysis of thetextbook and the survey results,the researcher combine own teaching practice experience with the study results to propose suggestions for textbook compilation,chemistry teaching and learning.The sixth part,the analysis of teaching examples.The optimization strategy is applied to the actual teaching.
