In recent years,The volunteer program of Chinese teachers launched by Hanban has made more people know China,Many foreigners have gained a better understanding of Chinese culture through the Chinese Teacher Volunteer Program,In recent years,Thailand cooperat with China in education has become closer.Thailand currently needs more than 1,000 Chinese teacher volunteers to teach Chinese each year.The author was fortunate to be a Chinese teacher volunteer to teach in Thailand in June 2019.During my teaching in Thailand,the author found that there are many problem behaviors of Thai middle school students in the Chinese classroom.The various problem behaviors of the students sometimes seriously affect the progress of my teaching work.I know that most of the Chinese teacher volunteers in Thailand have the same confusion and say it is difficult to carry out classroom management.Therefore,the research on the management of middle school students’ classroom problem behaviors by Chinese teacher volunteers in Thailand has become the starting point of the author’s research.This study takes Thai middle school students who are learning Chinese at present and Chinese teacher volunteers who are teaching in Thailand as the survey objects.Through classroom observation,questionnaire survey and in-depth interview,we examine the current situation and characteristics of Thai middle school students’ problematic behaviors in Chinese classroom,and analyze the reason for the problematic behavior from many aspects.At the same time,through the investigation of the current situation of volunteer classroom management,this paper summarizes the characteristics of problem behavior management of Chinese teacher volunteers for middle school students in Thailand,finds out the shortcomings and puts forward relevant strategies.Based on the investigation of 90 volunteers of Chinese teachers and 317 middle school students in Thailand,the author draws the following results:1.Students’ problem behaviors in Chinese class have the following characteristics: universality,concentration in distribution and certain influence on teachers and students.2.Students’ problem behaviors are mainly influenced by students’ personal factors,teachers’ factors,school factors,environmental factors and family factors.3.Volunteer teachers’ Chinese classroom management has the following characteristics: the effect is not ideal,the attitude towards students’ problem behavior is moderate,most of the classroom management adopts non-verbal coping style,there is common in the difficulties of students’ problem behavior management,and the attitude towards improving classroom management is more positive.4.Volunteer teachers have the following problems in dealing with students’ problem behaviors: low Thai level,lack of classroom management experience,unreasonable classroom organization,lack of deep understanding of school system and Thai students’ characteristics,and single teaching method.
