An Investigation And Reflection On The Employment Intention Of Secondary Vocational School Students

The employment situation of our country is quite grim since the current contradiction between labor supply and demand will exist for a long time and the structural contradictions of employment will be more prominent. However, the employment issues of the graduates of secondary vocational schools are not valued by the society and the employment situations of these graduates are also facing new challenges. As for Honghe Senior Technical School, the employment issues still exist, such as female employment difficulties, using practice to replace employment, lack of graduates tracking service, etc. How to help the graduates of secondary vocational schools get jobs successfully and stably become the responsibilities and challenges that secondary vocational education needs to face.The author believes that it is more important to fully understand the students’ employment intentions rather than to actively look for employment enterprise for students. It is also important that to strengthen career guidance and employment assistance for the graduates of secondary vocational schools.In this study, we choose Honghe Senior Technical School as a sample to investigate the students’ employment intentions by the methods of questionnaire and interview. The thesis is discussed in the following four areas: 1. background and reason of the topic; 2. theoretical basis of this study; 3. research on the employment intentions of students of secondary vocational schools——illustrated by the example of Honghe Senior Technical School; 4. suggestions and thoughts. Among them, we analysis and interpretation the data of questionnaire and interviews one by one according to the 6 level 1 index and 11 level 2 index of employment intentions structure. Finally, we propose suggestions and reflections for the career guidance of students of Honghe Senior Technical School and our country’s secondary vocational schools.
