Research On The Impact Of Social Capital On Rural Secondary Vocational School Students' Employment Intentions

Employment is the foundation of people's livelihood and it is of great value to study the employment issue.The academic view that the social capital factor has an important effect on employment has won the general recognition of academic circles.The research on the influence of social capital on the employment of college students is abundant at home and abroad.but current research pays less attention to the rural secondary vocational students.In the research of employment issues,there are few concerns about the problem of employment intention.This study looks back at the initial stage of employment choice,looks at the whole process of employment education,and regards social capital as the breakthrough point.On the basis of literature review,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the rural secondary vocational students in the vocational education center of D County J Province,to analyze the current status of social capital and employment intention of secondary vocational students in rural areas.And from the gender,whether the only child,the professional and the grade four dimensions,the rural secondary vocational students employment intention to carry on the comparative study.Finally to social capital as the independent variable,employment intention as the dependent variable,using Logistic regression analysis model,to explore the relationship between social capital and employment intention,reveal the mechanism on the impact of social capital on employment intention.The study found that the overall social capital of vocational students in rural areas was in the middle level,and the overall employment intention was at a high level.Gender,single children,major and grade had a significant impact on employment intention.Social capital has a significant impact on employment intention.The higher the social capital,the higher the overall level of employment cognition.However,the internal differences of social capital's influence on employment expectation are large,showing obvious inconsistencies.Based on the research findings,it is suggested that the government,schools and students should promote the formation of a clear and reasonable employment intention and improve the quality of employment.
