Tibetan areas of China,as the underdeveloped western region, the education started late and development level is not high, music education research is also relatively lagging behind. Especially in some remote areas in Tibet, due to the limitation of the conditions, the level of teaching and scientific research can not reach the same level with the mainland of China, there is a big gap compared with other school. In such a situation, it is very urgent to strengthen the research on primary and secondary school music education in Tibet.School music education, as the major part of the implementation of art education, to improve students’ aesthetic ability, cultivate healthy aesthetic ideas, establish a correct world outlook and values play an important role.The music classroom teaching, as the main form of school music education, It undertakes the training of music culture, music quality, and plays an important role in the development and progress of music education.In short, the key of implementing art education is the school music education, and the key of school music education in the music classroom teaching. In order to more clearly understand the music education features, better play the role of school music education, music education, we must grasp the first-hand information, must go deep into the music classroom teaching ontology. In the study of school music education in Tibet situation, not only to elaborate from a theoretical point of view, more important is to strengthen the investigation of educational practice, to research into the music classroom details.In view of this, this paper based on the study of Lhasa city music classroom teaching as the core, to research the content development and classroom teaching for music education in Tibet area, master the status quo and problems of music education from the field survey, to understand the teachers’ and students’ opinions and attitudes from the questionnaire survey, analysis method of classroom teaching from teaching experiment and classroom observation, and then conduct a comprehensive grasp of the music education and classroom teaching, based on practice put forward countermeasures and suggestions in accordance with the actual situation, in order to provide some reference for music education in Tibet to raise the level of teaching.The text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter: Overview of the Tibetan School of music education in the context of historical development, of relevant literature and research results were summed up and sorted out, and for of Lhasa City elementary and middle schools music education present situation of description;The second chapter: Around Lhasa city music classroom teaching field research, starting from the questionnaire, interviews, lectures, etc, to the classroom teaching related data were collected and analyzed, the conclusion is that the status and characteristics of music classroom teaching;The third chapter: The specific practice of music teaching, from the analysis of music teaching experiment, exploring the teaching methods of music classroom. The introduction of excellent music teachers’ teaching case, obtain visual data of classroom teaching.The fourth chapter: Summarizes the content: according to the survey, summed up the development mode of music teaching in primary and secondary schools in Tibet, on the problems existing in the teaching to put forward specific proposals.
