Cheng Fangwu was born in Xinhua, Hunan province in 1897, died at the age of 87 in 1984.Cheng Fangwu was a great proletarian revolutionary and an outstanding educator in the modern and contemporary history of China. He also has a remarkable talent in the aspect of literature and translation and many excellent works. He devoted all his life to the education of the proletarian, adhered to the educational purpose of fostering talents for the revolution. His educational philosophy has formed the unique style of education thought. In the new era, Ideological and Political education in colleges and universities faces new challenges and dilemma.
