Teaching in vocational senior high school is different from that in common senior high school. The former not only emphasizes the knowledge base, but pays more attention to training students’ handling ability. Clothing specialty teaching in vocational high school has its own specificity, which not only requires students to grasp the basic professional knowledge, but also promotes students’ understanding and appreciation of professional works and improves their professional competence.In teaching process, project teaching method emphasizes the changing of students from passive learning to active receiving and helps them gain new knowledge actively by relating to prior knowledge and practicing doing,to complete the project. Based on the feature of clothing, I try to do research on the application of project teaching method to clothing specialty teaching, with the goal to help students learn by doing through various interesting leaning circumstances to achieve learning goals.The main research methods of this thesis are literature research method, observational method, interviewing method and so on. By studying c lothing specialty in vocational senior high school, I try to apply project teaching method to clothing specialty teaching practice and provide some theoretical references and practical suggestions for clothing teaching.This subject study is made up of three parts.In the first part, I mainly introduce the questions, the research situation, research thinking and approaches of project teaching method at home and abroad. The second part is about clothing specialty teaching in vocational high school and project teaching method. I first define the concept of project teaching method and expound several stages of project teaching method, which is based on Constructive Learning Theory and the education theory of Pragmatism of Dewey. Then I introduce the present clothing specialty courses in detail, and analyze the characteristics of vocational high school students, the present situation and existing problems of clothing specialty teaching, and discuss the necessity on applying project teaching method to clothing specialty teaching. The third part, which is the important part of this thesis, is the implementation of applying project teaching method to clothing specialty teaching.Starting with concrete implementation steps and detailed case studies, I prove that it is practicable to apply project teaching method to clothing specialty teaching through teaching practice.The study,based on related teaching principles, is just an exploration of clothing specialty teaching in vocational high school combining my own teaching practice. But owing to my limited capacity and time, there must be some deficiencies in my study, especially in literature reading.It is a long process to do research on teaching and in the coming teaching practice, I will continue to explore it using flexible and effective teaching methods to improve students’ comprehensive quality.
