The development of the tourism industry in the 21 st century has become one of the new pillar industries.The development of the tourism industry has been expanding in the scale of the demand for professionals.The existence of professional talents in the vocational schools has deviated from the demand of the labor market,the teaching methods are obsolete and can not meet the labor force Market demand for talent.The practical research of the project teachi ng method in the tourism specialty of the middle vocational education can promote the teaching reform of the vocational tourism specialty,improve the profe-ssional practice ability and comprehensive quality of the students,and provide re-ference for other professional teaching reform.This paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,experiment and interview to analyze the characteris tics of project teaching method.The use of Dewey "do middle school" and constru-ctivism learning theory for the project teaching method in the vocationa l tourism professional teaching practice and teaching design to provide the nec essary theoretical basis.The application of the project teaching method is based on the advanced teaching idea,the "double teacher type" teacher team,the complete training trai ning condition,the flexible teaching organization is the guarantee;follow the project as the center,the student main body,the team cooperation,the mult Th is paper puts forward the steps of project teaching method,including the forma tion and design of the theme,the formulation of the plan and the implementati on of the task,the results and the summary of several parts.Based on the present situation of teaching practice of "tour guide business" in vocational school,this paper chooses two classes to carry out project teac hing on the course of "tour guide business" which is taught by investigation a nd experimental research method based on the requirements of project teaching method.The practice of the use of research tools,including pretest test volu mes,questionnaires and interviews,etc.,to test the project teaching method in the vocational school "tour guide business" curriculum applied teaching effect.Through the statistical analysis of the relevant experiments and the results of the survey to draw the following conclusions:1.The teaching practice of the "tour guide business" course of the vocatio nal school tourism management specialty is insufficient in the practical experie nce of the teachers,the teaching philosophy is backward;the students have lo w interest in learning,lack of self-knowledge;lack of teaching methods,lack of practical ability;Affect the effect of teaching.2.Project teaching method can significantly improve the student "tour gui de business" professional course achievement,is a suitable for vocational schoo l professional skills training of new teaching methods.3.The application of the teaching method to the teacher's ability,teaching conditions and practice training put forward higher requirements.4.Project teaching method in the vocational school tourism management p rofessional application to protect the teaching effect,stimulate interest in learni ng;improve professional skills to meet the needs of the community;conducive to skills training,to adapt to vocational teaching;to promote equal exchanges,harmonious teacher-student relationship Effect.
