Vocational school project teaching aiming at students’employment decides that the teaching content reflects the application of knowledge acquired in real life. Situational teaching is the main teaching method. Teaching tasks are completed through group activities. It not only focuses on students’final test results, but also the application of such abilities as reasoning and oral expression during the learning process. According to the principles of vocational education, the thesis explores the application principles and teaching modes of vocational school math teaching under project teaching method, in accordance with vocational school students’actual needs and general teaching principles in vocational education. The thesis also analyzes the influence of students’math grades, knowledge level and learning attitude via teaching experiments.The thesis adopts literature study, questionnaire survey and teaching experiment. The thesis consists of six parts.Part one introduces the background, objectives and meanings, mentalities and methods of vocational school math teaching under project teaching method.Part two defines the concept of project teaching method based on literature study home and abroad, and states the theoretical basis of the study.Part three is research study, based on questionnaire survey of students and teachers and analyzes the teaching and learning state in a vocational school math class.Part four states the application principles of vocational school math teaching under project teaching method according to the writer’s teaching experiment, proposes the teaching modes of vocational school math teaching under project teaching method, and illustrates how to carry out project teaching in the case of a new lesson, a review lesson and an activity lesson.Part five is a class activity experimental study. The data from two experimental classes are analyzed by SPSS. It concludes that the math grades and learning attitude of the experimental class is quite different after the experiment.Part six is a conclusion. It brings on the research conclusion and proposes suggestions for future project teaching.
