Depression should be the most harmful disease of all teenager`s psychological crises. Its incidence is in direct proportion to the age. By the large amount of data statistics we found that, the high-incidence season of the depression is about 17, and it would last into adulthood, the serious patient even might turn into the MDD(major depressive disorder). Teenagers are at a sensitive stage, the pressure from school, family and society would easily cause the emotional fluctuation, produce all kinds of negative emotions. These would seriously affect teenager`s study and health.By reviewing the previous literatures the author realized that, the society should pay enough attention to the teenager`s mental health problems, and it would be very important for the social work to do some practical application. As a social worker, the author would like to uphold the professional concept, take a high-school-girl with depression from a community service center of Shijiazhuang as the object, from a micro level analyze the cause of the adolescence depression multi-dimensionally, make a corresponding plan and start the rehabilitation therapy. This article would describe the case in order. First take improving the patient`s depression, exploring the patient`s advantage and helping the patient get back to normal life as a goal. Then by building a professional relationship, directly serving, making a final assessment and getting involved in helping adolescent depressive patients, summarize some effective and practical methods. Finally the author hopes to offer some valuable reference opinions about the social work getting involved in the depression, provide some effective solutions to the adolescent psychological health problem and promote the development of social work for teenager.
