A Study On Social Support For Social Work In Rural Areas

With the accelerated process of urbanization in China, more and more rural people follow their children’s urban life.But the is lifestyle and values differences between urban and rural areas, the rural elderly people facing social lack of communication, social networks are weak, spiritual comfort, such as the lack of issues have become increasingly prominent, and need to be social attention.Based on social work method, this paper makes an empirical investigation and Analysis on the status quo of social support for the elderly in rural areas.and for their common problems,for example intergenerational baniers,social network is week,lack of leisure etc,and use case work and group work to intervene. On the one hand, the use of psychological and social treatment mode, from the informal support to start, so that the elderly get support;on the other hand,The use of mutual benefit and development mode for another group, the old town in the city and get mutual support and mutual fusion in support of the elderly elderly population in city. Summarizes the achievements and deficiencies in the practical operation process,and appeal from the micro,meso and macro scopic to provide social support for rural elderly migrating to city.
