| Reading is a focused issue due to the social advocacy. And the reading of picture books are highly popularized by the experts, meanwhile it is also widely used in Chinese teaching. However, opinions are different on how to choose the picture books. The paper interviewed four teachers who are teaching picture books in primary school, classroom observation, and online videos to analyze deeply on how to choose the books during the first stage. Also the paper put forward some methods about teaching picture books and suit for the physical and mental development of the students.The paper mainly has three parts. The first part describing the background and research significance of the paper, and the concepts of picture books, picture books reading and teaching picture books in primary school,the researches from home and broad, the research programmer, methods and expected results. The second part is about the research results and also the main part of the paper, mainly talking about the opinions of the primary school teachers on teaching picture books, teaching aims, selection of teaching materials, and teaching methods, meanwhile, discussed the current situation in teaching picture books. The third part draws some conclusions from the second part. And the third part gives some suggestions of how to choose picture books and how to teach it.The innovation points of the paper are that combine the three methods of interview, classroom observation, and cases analysis, how to use the picture books and how to choose the proper books. On the basis of the theories and practice to find the proper books which are good for the first stage students and put forward some useful teaching methods and strategies. |
