Picture books reading is a beautiful feast that is made of refined short words and beautiful pictures. Picture books of high quality, high level picture and text improve children’s cognitive ability, the training of imagination, thinking strength enhancement, the improvement of aesthetic temperament and interest, rich emotional experience has a subtle influence. however, this is for lower age of kids, picture books reading service only young children as the deep knowledge of the painting of the traditional. This paper tries to break the boundaries of thinking, extend the connotation of picture books, and is expected to cover in the senior class picture books to read, based on the instruction in the elementary school higher grades picture books teaching practice.The first chapter is mainly discussed in the elementary school higher grades draw the background and significance of reading strategies, combed the domestic and foreign elementary school picture books, the teaching of reading and illustrates the research method, value and innovation points. The second chapter discusses the value of picture books in reading teaching in the senior class. The third chapter in elementary school senior picture books reading on the basis of investigation in the search for a common problem, and find out the causes of problems. The fourth chapter in the elementary school higher grades picture books reading teaching strategy research. Based paint this picture books reading teaching classroom teaching of reading strategy, product analysis and expression, finally realize the creative teaching. In the fifth chapter, Superfine Teacher Wang Aihua coaches "Mr. Mak trip" as an example, analysis the case by the presence of the problem and use corresponding picture books reading strategy instruction on the modified, so as to provide reference for the teachers in teaching practice.This paper argues that only by "picture books" as the medium, an e ffective strategy of picture books reading teaching ability to maximize the education function of picture books, picture books read in become a game of happiness.
