As an abundant teaching resource in the Chinese education of Grade 1, picture books tell stories with both pictures and its accompanying texts full of imagination and interest. The texts are designed in a simple and direct way, and the pictures are colorful. During learning process, students could obtain knowledge, improve reading ability and develop aesthetic tastes and moralities, and the spirit that conveyed through the picture books is consistent with the three-dimensional targets. However, there are still many questions remained in the teaching process, for example, how to prepare a meaningful class? Could teachers fully understand the curriculum standards and make picture book class more effective? Based on these two topics, The author carried out action researches, aiming to give effective suggestions to teachers in primary school.During the preparation period, The author referred to related literatures and ’The Curriculum Standards of Chinese Course during The Compulsory schooling’, which gave me a comprehensive understanding of picture book instructions. Then the author experienced an education internship in a primary school in Weihai. During teaching practices and class observations, I collected the basic information that concerns about how to apply the three dimensional targets into class design and practice. During the analyzing process, I also improved myself by repeated reflecting and rethinking.The thesis includes three parts.Part one:Introduction. This part illustrates the reasons, purposes, significances, related concepts, literature reviews and the methods of the research.Part two:Primary researches on the implementation of three dimensional targets in picture book teaching. This part analyzes the ideal teaching effectiveness of three dimensional targets. It also briefly introduces the present situation of the picture books’ teaching in a primary school of Weihai. Through class observation, the author also searched efficient ways to implement the three dimensional targets into picture book teaching.Part three:Action researches and suggestions. According to class design and class teaching, the author analyzes the teaching process from the three dimensions and raises up suggestions for teachers.
