Physics education in ethnic minority regions has been a difficult and significant subject. While the psychological characteristics of the students from minority zone lack comprehensive and in-depth study in science learning, especially rare physics education research. Also, the status quo of studies reflects comprehensive performance in all aspects of learning process. Based on the analysis towards the present situation in physics education in ethnic minority areas, this research establishes physics education present situation investigation with problem guiding. Huanjiang maonan autonomous county and Mulao autonomous county, Hechi district, Guangxi province, are selected as research objects. Literature metrology analysis, data visualization view combined with other methods, such as social network analysis, questionnaire investigation, case interview and observation, and so on are mainly used in order to assist in studying as follows:Firstly we investigate the present situation of students physics studies. In order to analyze influencing factors of physics courses and students’ academic performance, corresponding six aspects are selected:culture and language background, self-academic expectation and academic support, physics learning interest, physics schoolwork burden, physics class and physics experiment, evaluation of physics education.Secondly the survey and analysis of physics teachers in ethnic minority areas regarding the academic attitude were studied. Physics teacher’s academic attitude can be embodied by the understanding of the curriculum concept and the implementation in daily teaching. The investigation regarding the level of academic attitude of teachers will help to understand the present situation of physics education.Finally the survey and analysis of implementation situation of physic curriculum standard in ethnic minority areas were studied. The difficulty index of test points and the capability of students required in the high school entrance exam directly affect teachers’teaching behavior. In this paper, the consistency of Hechi city high school entrance exam paper and curriculum standards is analyzed which is significant to deeply understand the present situation of physics education in corresponding ethnic regions.
