High school information technology curriculum is an important part of the development of quality education, in order to enhance the students’ information literacy as the ultimate goal. The course of information technology based on design ability training aims at cultivating students’ ability of design and innovation, so as to improve the students’ information literacy. Information technology skills class is mainly to train students in the operation of specific software, and the information technology work production course is to pay attention to the use of computers to culture the design ability of the work. However, the related research contents of information technology work production course to cultivate students’ design ability is not enough. It is necessary to cultivate students’ ability to design based on information technology curriculum. In this paper, the transformation of the existing work course design, the teaching design previously tend to practice to pay attention to cultivating students’ design ability and creative spirit. Mainly through text processing, multimedia works design and webpage making teaching plan design of the three types are analyzed and improved,focusing on the fusion of the design of the works to the original design of the teaching plan. The design of the new teaching plan is not focused on the software training, but regard the students as the main body, to show the design ability of students more effectively.This paper consists five parts: the first part is the introduction, from the topic, the definition of the core concepts, research purpose and significance of the study are described.In the second part, research on the cultivation of information technology curriculum design ability in Senior High School.The third part, the analysis of how to carry out the design ability training of the information technology works, respectively, from the work of textbooks, teachers, students. The fourth part, this part is the priority among priorities, how teachers should design teaching plan, through the cultivation of the students experience the whole process of design work to highlight the students’ design ability.In the fifth part, the author puts forward some suggestions on the teaching design of information technology based on the research of this subject.
