Under the guidance of the concept of student development, career education begins to enter high school, and gradually attracts the attention of educators. As a dominant moral course in high school, the ideological and political course integrates the ideological and political quality and moral quality of students, and develops the comprehensive quality of students. It is consistent with the idea of career education. The new college entrance examination also requires more attention to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality. Based on the current situations, here it tries to analyze how to carry out career education during ideological and political courses in high school.There are four parts in this paper. The first part raises the issue about how to introduce the career education in the ideological and political course, also analyzes the current state of research, clarifies the scope and definition, research significance and research methods. In the second part, the questionnaires reveal that the high school students’ career cognitive status cannot be optimistic and high school ideological and political class teachers also have strong desire to develop career education. The third part illustrates this course meet the needs of the development of students. In the teaching goal, the teaching content and the teaching method has the feasibility The fourth part focuses solutions and strategies from the view of in-class teaching, curriculum resources and teaching methods.It is a valuable attempt to connect the ideological and political course from the practical point of view. Although more professional guide has been provided during the course, more analysis and research is needed in the future.
