All kinds of information technology penetrates into every aspect of our life in the age of ‘Internet plus’. Similarly, the new media and new resources should also be applied to the field of education to reform the teaching skills in the information age, making learning anywhere and anytime a normal state of our life. With the rise of flipclassroom education in domestic education field, ‘micro-lecture’ has been very popular because it is short and flexible. However, the development of ‘micro-lecture’ in China is still in the initial stage and the most related research is mainly focused on the definition of the concept of ‘micro-lecture’, theoretical basis, producing method, the appraisal standard, etc. And for more detailed research, such as different types of knowledge of different disciplines class design, are rare. In addition, the appraisal standard of different effects of ‘micro-lecture’ should be further discussed. A research on the design strategies of different knowledge types of Chinese teaching were carried on in middle school through measuring the academic engagement of the students based on the classroom observation. Firstly, the method of measuring the academic engagement of the students was adopt through literature research method. The measuring charts were modified and verified and the measuring chart of academic engagement of the students was available. Secondly, the teaching scales of the types of Chinese knowledge was identified after interviewing the Chinese teachers from the front line. 559 excellent Chinese micro-lectures of middle school in the platform of ‘Hua shi MOOC’ were taken as the research projects to summarize and tease the strategies of ‘micro-lecture’ design of the different knowledge types. Finally, data statistical analysis was carried on after the experiments and different design strategies of every knowledge type of Chinese micro-lectures were put forward. Considering the limitation of time and ability of the writer, some limitations and shortcomings exist in the study and they are mentioned in the later summary and expectation, which pointed out the direction and objectives of further research.
