With the advent of the information age,the data have played an irreplaceable role in people’s work and life.The 《Compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard》(2011 version) also stated that it is the core objective of learning Statistics and Probability to develop student’s concept of data analysis.All the signs indicate that it has become an unavoidable task in the compulsory education stage.At this stage how the development of junior high school students in ethnic minority areas in Guangxi?What problems exist in the development of students’ concept of data analysis?How to develop students’concept of data analysis more effectively in the course of teaching? These are the problems we are concerned about.The research purpose of this paper is to study the concept of data analysis development level of junior high school students.Using literature review method, carding the relevant research results at home and abroad,the connotation of the concept and its components in the study were determined.By SOLO classification method,establishes the evaluation criteria for each dimension.By using the statistical analysis method,the students answer the questions to analyze,and then obtains the student data analysis concept development present situation.The article is divided into five chapters,the specific research is as follows:The first chapter:PrefaceThis chapter mainly introduces the background,research purpose and significance of this study,defines the relevant concepts of this study,and reviews the existing research results.The second chapter:Research design and research methodsThis chapter mainly carries on the introduction to the research object,the test material research process and the research method.The third chapter:The division of the concept of data analysisIn this chapter,the concept of data analysis is divided into five dimensions: collecting data,sorting data,describing the data,analyzing the data and the probability of the event, and make a detailed description of each dimension.The fourth chapter:The analysis of the development level of the concept of data analysisThis chapter is a concrete analysis of the development level of students’ data analysis concept.The fifth chapter:The conclusion, suggestion and reflectionThrough a series of studies, the following conclusions are drawn:(1) The ability of students to organize data is low.(2) Most of the students have mastered the basic skills of describing the data,but the application is not strong.(3)Students’ability to excavate hidden information is weak.In view of the above problems,the author gives the corresponding teaching suggestions:(1)Teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of students’ability to organize data.(2)Teachers should grasp the core concept of teaching.(3)Learning materials should be highlighted the process character of data analysis.In the end,the paper makes a reflection and prospect of this research.
