Concept of data analysis is one of the ten core concepts in the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition).Throughout China's math education reform,more and more attention has been paid to developing students' data analysis concepts during the compulsory education stage.This research focuses on junior high school students,and tries to provide suggestions for teachers' teaching implementation by investigating the current situation of data analysis concepts of junior high school students.The research mainly focuses on three questions:(1)what level is the concept of data analysis of junior high school students at this stage?(2)What are the factors influencing the concept of data analysis for junior high school students in teachers' teaching?(3)How to promote the formation and development of data analysis concepts for junior high school students in the teaching process? In order to answer these three questions,this study first tests students in grades eight and nine from four dimensions: data collection awareness,experience data implication information awareness,data method application awareness,and random awareness,to understand the status of student data analysis concepts.And compare what changes have taken place in the junior high school students' data analysis concept after a period of learning,and then combine the relevant classroom teaching observations to find out the teaching factors that affect the junior high school students 'data analysis concept,and then analyze how to develop junior high school students' data analysis Ideas make some suggestions.The test results show that:(1)with the rise of grades,the concept of data analysis for junior high school students has been improved,but the overall situation of data analysis concepts for students still needs to be improved;(2)the level of junior high school students in the dimension of random awareness has increased with the increase of grades,but the level of consciousness in data collection awareness,experience data implication information awareness,and data method application awareness has not been significantly improved due to the increase in grade level;(3)there is nosignificant gender difference in the level of data analysis concepts among junior high school students;(4)there is a significant positive correlation between the level of data analysis concepts in junior high school students and their mathematical performance.The classroom observation results show that the factors affecting the concept of data analysis for junior high school students include two aspects,positive factors and negative factors.Among them,the positive factors include:(1)introducing real-life problems to stimulate students' interest in learning;(2)creating situations to allow students to "close to data";(3)using variants to guide students to use data analysis methods flexibly;(4)horizontally compare each statistic to strengthen students' understanding of each statistic.Negative factors include:(1)neglecting the subjective initiative of students to explore autonomously;(2)focusing on the calculation process and neglecting the connection with practical applications;(3)focusing on conceptual explanations,lacking hands-on exercises;(4)lacking students' participation in data analysis The whole process of opportunity.According to the research results,corresponding teaching implementation suggestions are proposed for classroom teaching,which mainly include:(1)incorporating data analysis ideas and focusing on the practical significance of data analysis;(2)allowing students to experience the data analysis the whole process,attaches importance to the process of data analysis concept formation;(3)integrates advanced education technology,and values the diversity of data analysis methods;(4)encourages students to use data to experience randomness and strengthen the sense of randomness;(5)Pay attention to the differences between students in the teaching process,and promote the all-round development of students.
