A Study On The Path Of The Transformation Of Ethnic Universities In The New Normal

The universities and colleges for nationalities are comprehensive general universities and colleges established for dealing with national issues. After 60 years’exploration and practice, the universities and colleges for nationalities have formed their own school-running characteristics. They have become the base for cultivating high quality talents of ethnic minorities, studying the national theories and policies and inheriting and carrying forward the excellent culture of all ethnic groups. The universities and colleges for nationalities have become an important window for showing China’s national policy and foreign exchange and cooperation.Since 18th CPC National Congress, China’s economic and social development came into the new normal. Central national work conference in 2014, national conference on national education in 2015 and promulgation and implementation of decision of the State Council on accelerating the development of national education brought great opportunities for the development of national higher education. Meanwhile, National Higher Education under the new normal is also facing economic transformation and upgrading, the changes of student-resource structure and great challenges of internationalization and informationization of Higher Education.A clear awareness of the development trend of higher education in the new normal is the main task of the current universities and colleges for nationalities. From the development of environment, it is required that the universities and colleges for nationalities to establish the consciousness of the market competition and sense of crisis on survival of the fittest, actively meet the professional need and try to have proactive behavior structure and have some achievements on adjusting and optimizing of talents cultivating structures, strengthening the education of creation and innovation and career guidance. From development orientation, it is required that the universities and colleges for nationalities stick to demand orientation, rational orientation and become more actively and more consciously to press close to regional social and economic development and thus realize the deep integration of social economic development by extending service capability and developing contribution ability. From the method of development, it is required that the universities and colleges for nationalities change from the development through competition for scale and numbers to the competition of quality and connotation based on stable scale.
