High school ideological and political is the subject of political thought and moral quality education for high school students. And cooperative learning, as one of the three learning methods, can work closely with autonomous learning and inquiry learning, and improve the teaching and learning. Therefore, carrying out cooperative learning in the high school ideological and political class not only can make high school students to better grasp the subject knowledge, but also improve the students’ moral cultivation.This paper mainly focuses on two aspects, which is the suitable content of cooperative learning in high school ideological and political subject, as well as teachers’ strategy out the cooperative learning. Through observation method, literature review method, it analyzed the detail content in high school political lesson(Shanghai version), and had preliminary exploration on how to implement cooperative learning,puts forward some application strategy. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction, describes the background of cooperative learning in the ideological and political course and summarizes the research results at home and abroad in recent years. At the same time, it explains the main concepts in this paper,and illustrates the significance of the research on cooperative learning. The second part analyzes the role of cooperative learning in high school ideological and political class, which is beneficial to improve students’ initiative in classroom learning,improve the effectiveness of classroom learning, develop students’ ability, and cultivate students’ non-intellectual factors. The third part firstly discussed the selection principle of the the suitable content for cooperative learning, secondly collected the contents of the high school ideological and political lesson(Shanghai version) and summarized the suitable content for cooperative learning. The fourth part is starting from the actual situation of high school ideological and political course, and put forward the implementation of the application of cooperative learning strategy,including setting the teaching objectives, task allocation, guidance of cooperative learning and teaching evaluation, so on four aspects.
